I enjoy mentoring oboists at all levels. In my seventh year of teaching oboe at the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University Long Beach, my pedagogical experience also includes private lessons for students, amateurs, and professionals. As a guest clinician and coach I have collaborated with institutions such as the Colburn School, CalTech, Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, and Idyllwild Arts Academy. I have presented masterclasses at the Oboe Festival at National University of Mexico, International Double Reed Society Conference in Tampa, University of Texas at Arlington, California State University Fullerton, University of Colorado Boulder and Montclair State University.

Once we have worked together for a semester, I offer recommendation letters for music or academic programs.
oboe reeds
Reeds are available for sale if the student does not have other reed sources, or is not making their own reeds. For advanced students I will guide them through the process of learning how to make their own reeds. For the advanced reed maker who wants to further hone their skills, I can offer focused reed lessons.
english horn
Fluency on our auxiliary instrument is important for oboe students who are pursuing a career in music. I love exploring the world of orchestral english horn repertoire and reeds with eager students.
video & audio recording assistance
I have a professional in-home recording studio if the student needs assistance making audition applications for things such as summer music festivals, scholarship auditions, or college audition pre-screenings.
